Description:
Are you interested in building safe, inclusive environments for your organization’s LGBTQ2S+ members? Do you want to develop your understanding, language and skills to better support LGBTQ2S+ families in your work? We can help! This workshop is experiential and interactive, helping you understand diversity and make your program more inclusive for queer, trans and Two-Spirit children, families, clients and staff.
Objectives:
- Identify LGBTQ2S+ terminology and respectful language.
- Understand gender & sexual exploration in toddlers and children.
- Discuss how to create more inclusive and safer environments for LGBTQ2S+ children, families, clients and staff.
- Explore resources and referrals for additional learning.

Presenter Information
Rana is a social activist for non-violent communication and human rights. Throughout her 12 year career in community development, peace building, civil society empowerment and social cohesion she has tailored and conducted training. Through these programs she has helped to bridge the gap between people from different political affiliations, ethics & beliefs, and increased their ability to lead change and deal with the arising trauma and humanitarian crisis in the Middle East.
