Diversity is the one thing we all have in common. Celebrate it every day. Talking and thinking about holidays in early childhood programs today is a hot topic. There is an increasing diversity of children, families, and staff who make up our programs.  A lot of us have ideas of how to celebrate holidays, or some of us think we shouldn’t. There are some centres that choose not to celebrate and others that try to celebrate all the holidays.

Presenter Information
Sarah McCarthy has a Bachelor of Science in Education and Training, a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Montessori (0-12 years) and a certificate for Children with Special needs. Sarah has been in the educational field for over 15 years. She has taught in Reggio preschools, play -based centres, Montessori schools, and was an Early Childhood Coordinator and Instructor for Sprott Shaw College.
