This workshop will help participants discover new ideas to make transitions at their centres easier, more successful and more fun! Some helpful tips, new creative ideas, and a few props will turn frustrating transition times into smooth enjoyable experiences for all.

Participants will learn about transition do’s and don’ts and will have an opportunity to make a few effective transition resource tools to use in their centres.

Come and enjoy learning about the key to smoother transitions and ways to make even difficult transitions for children easier.

Pat Bates

Presenter Information
Pat Bates has been in the E.C.E. field for 33 years. She’s worked in both daycare and preschool and owned and operated a successful licensed preschool 13 years. She has been teaching at the college level in Early Childhood Education programs for the past 23 years and has been dedicated to preparing her students to enter the Early Childhood field as successful quality educators. With music and teaching as her passion, Pat has also taught children’s music classes in several daycares and preschools in the Lower Mainland working with children from toddler to school age. With her business, Creative Resources and Workshops, Pat continues to facilitate many workshops for educators and parents and provide teaching resources for their ongoing curriculum development.
