Death is a part of the life cycle, but it is often minimized and not discussed. Although grief is a normal and natural consequence of a loss, many children and teens have learned not to deal with their thoughts and feelings about the death of a significant person. When children and teens are not able to process or express their grief, it may have a negative impact on their well-being.
This workshop will explore the topic of loss and grief, exploring how it may affect children emotionally, socially and physically. Using a collaborative format, the workshop will also offer suggestions and activities that may help when supporting grieving children.
