Description:
SFU Child Care Society believes that each of our educators have the skills and ability to lead in their area of expertise. Through the nurturing of collaborative relationships, educators grow in their capacity to engage with new and old philosophies. During this workshop, we will explore areas of leadership opportunities that can be nurtured, and examine the role of ongoing mentoring with our educators long after practicum and licensing hours are satisfied. By sharing our strategies, we attempt to create a plan for creating leadership in your program/facility.
Objectives:
• Explore areas of leadership opportunities.
• Examine the role of ongoing mentoring with educators.
• Discuss strategies to create a plan for encouraging leadership in your program/facility.
