Learn strategies for responding to and supporting families who have experienced trauma, maintaining professional boundaries and practicing effective self care.
This workshop will benefit community service providers who support children and families in a variety of settings. Participants will:
- Learn strategies to respond to people presenting trauma when they ask for service outside of mandates.
- Discuss common challenges and case scenarios in family, refugee and settlement programs.
- Identify some ways in which taking care of ourselves is taking care of our participants.
