In this session Gyda will share a number of amazing stories, comments, responses she has heard from children over the years that highlight their care, compassion, curiosity and sense of community. We will invite you to join in this sharing process as we consider how to weave these into our program and curriculum.

- Maximize opportunities for open ended programming which will invigorate stories from children.
- Explore ways to share these stories with parents and children.
Suitable for parents, students, adult instructors/administrators, novice, intermediate and experienced early learning child care professionals working with children of any age from infant/ toddlers to school age children, including children with extra support needs.

Gyda served as Coordinator of Early Childhood Programs and later Dean of Continuing Studies at Vancouver Community College. She is a lifelong child care activist and was the founding Chair of the Child Care Human Resource Sector Council, a board member of Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre and the Coalition of Child Care Advocates of BC. Gyda has written several books related to Diversity and Multiculturalism in Early Childhood. She is a very experienced and esteemed facilitator in the Early Childhood Community.
