This seminar provides all the information you ever wanted to know about head lice…and then some! There are many myths and misinformation around head lice, so this session is focused on debunking those myths and shows you what works and what doesn’t when it comes to head lice. At the end of this session, you will know how to quickly screen, treat and prevent head lice infestations with our easy & proven methods.
This is a fun and informal setting that will include…
• What are head lice
• How to check for head lice
• When to check for head lice
• How to remove head lice safely and effectively
• Why using over the counter products alone doesn’t work
• How to break up the lice lifecycle and why it’s important to know their lifecycle
• What to clean when dealing with head lice
• How to prevent head lice infestations

Participants can view actual samples of head lice and nits and have all their questions answered by a lice specialist. Everyone will leave knowing what to do if the situation arises in their home and as an added bonus they’ll receive an information package to take home which includes a few lice screening sticks to practice their newfound skills.

Presenter Information
Barbara Pattison is a Head Lice Expert and founder of LICE911. It all began over 16 years ago when she first dealt with head lice in her home and she quickly realized that there wasn’t any help available in the Lower Mainland. After careful research and finding the safest and most effective way to get rid of head lice, she started LICE911. Since then, she’s been helping families, schools and communities by providing head lice screenings, lice removal and educational services to communities throughout BC. Head lice is often a very traumatic and stressful experience. At LICE911 we believe that by eliminating the misconceptions about head lice, families are better equipped to manage the situation with confidence. Barbara is passionate about spreading lice awareness and educating people on how to safely remove and prevent head lice. She knows that education is our best defense when it comes to these pesky bugs and is eager to share her knowledge with you!
