Animal Adaptations: Children can use their observation skills to make connections between animals, their unique adaptations and the strategies that facilitate survival, including the impact of seasonal changes, in their different habitats. This program also highlights animal senses and the basic structures and functions of animal body systems.
Animals in your own Backyard: Children can make connections with some animals you would notice in your own backyard. Why are they there and what do they do to help themselves survive. We go through lists on what will you see and how to respect those animals if you come across them. For example Bears, bears are known to be in some local backyards. Let’s go in depth on how we can help keep you and your children safe from bears.
Note: We won’t know which animals are coming until they arrive! There should be 3 or 4 different animals coming.
Care providers only at this workshop, sorry, but no children.
