What is distinctive about a Learning Journey? For over 10 years our educators at Frog Hollow Children’s Centres have been travelling to different parts of the world, visiting Reggio- inspired programs, gathering ideas they could bring home. Visiting new programs is inspiring. Educators often feel re-charged after seeing different places and start generating new ideas in their own programs. This is why we are happy to provide tours to our centres so educators can visit a local place they can relate to. But there is something even more in a Learning Journey. Learning Journeys offer an experience that is deeper than seeing a new place. our Learning Journeys offer educators the opportunity to see the pedagogical philosophy and thinking that is behind our practice with children and their families. Additional to seeing four of our childcare programs, during a Learning Journey educators are invited to:
A Learning Journey is a special experience because it is beyond seeing a space; it’s about living the experience of a group of children and adults, sharing their history, vision and values.
On April 25, 2018 join us on our public Learning Journey as we share our stories with 16 educators. |

Presenter Information
At Frog Hollow Reggio-Inspired Learning Centre it is our intent to share our thoughts and reflections regarding the Reggio Emilia approach with our community. We work in partnership with individuals and organizations inspired by this approach and hope to become a place to bring together on-going, meaningful dialogues that advocate for the rights of children as active citizens of today.
