Understanding more about the architecture of the brain and what influences early development can help us tailor learning opportunities across the developmental domain spectrum to truly meet the needs of each child. Discuss strategies to help the child move towards operating more often in the feeling and critical thinking areas of the brain. Investigate how strong early attachments affect lifelong health and well-being.
Objectives:
• Discuss the structure of the human brain and some of the factors which influence early development.
• Explore ways in which early attachment acts as a lifelong protective factor in terms of health and human potential.
