Already using or thinking about using digital resources in your centre? We will discuss the pros and cons of a connected classroom, from occasional use to a more fully immersed environment. Learn about available resources and how to access them for your centre. Most importantly we will share ideas and resources for teaching digital literacy to children in preschool and Kindergarten.
Objectives:
• To define what is Digital Literacy and why is it important.
• To discuss pros and cons of digital devices in the Pre-K and Kindergarten setting.
• To explore types of digital resources available for Pre-K (databases, apps, websites).
*Suitable for parents, students, novice, intermediate and experienced early learning child care professionals working with preschool and school age children, including children with extra support needs, adult instructors and administrators.
