No guts, no glory! This training isn’t for the faint of heart! Designed specifically for the early childhood professional who is ready to embrace and defend the value of play. This all-day training includes tough discus-sions, documentation drills, brainstorming sessions and a “GO PLAY” obstacle course (aka: HANDS ON STATIONS). Participants will leave with a toolbox full of research-based artillery that will help them educate parents and others of the importance of play and how it IS the definition of developmentally appropriate practice. Lunch will be provided.

After 17 years as a family child care provider, Denita made a slight career change in 2014 and opened Kaleidoscope Play School. Her BS in Elementary and Early Childhood Education come in handy to help parents have age-appropriate expectations in this world where worksheets and other rote-methods of learning are replacing developmental-ly appropriate practice. Denita has been a keynote presenter since 2009 and has co-authored three books with Jeff A. Johnson through Redleaf Press: “Let Them Play: An Early Learning UnCurriculum”, “Let’s Play” and “Let’s All Play”.
