Join us for a relaxing day of yoga, bonding and a fun Make & Take activity!
Yoga is a great experience for adults and children; improving concentration, promoting imagination and having fun with music and movement.
You will learn how to:
Implement mindfulness and gratitude activities into your childcare program
Create a calm environment and discover techniques to promote relaxation in the classroom.
Create Make & Take activities to use with children to support self-regulation.
Please wear comfortable clothing you can get messy in, and bring a yoga mat and a shoebox to bring your Make & Take home.

Lorraine Bascombe and Karen LeSage
Presenter Information
Lorraine Bascombe has been an early childhood educator for 38 years and has worked as a Supported Child Development Consultant for almost 14 years. Her passion lays in watching children evolve and grow and supporting this process in her day to day work. Karen LeSage has been a Supported Child Development (SCD) Consultant for the past 15 years in Vancouver and Burnaby and is now with Ridge Meadows SCD. She has been in the child and youth care field for 24 years and has a keen interest in Social Emotional Development, yoga and mindfulness. She is a certified children’s yoga teacher and is completing her 200 hours yoga teacher training certification.
