Shannon will demonstrate how she has created a multifaceted, meaningful curriculum in her preschool while meeting the needs of each child. Shannon works extensively with layered puzzles using Vygotsky’s model of Gradual Release of Responsibility and engages students in a variety of meaningful art activities. In order to immerse her students in a second language, she teaches using an Award Winning Methodology (AIM), with which she has trained teachers from around the world. Shannon will share her philosophy behind her teaching practices and share her curriculum step by step. This framework has helped her to achieve the larger goal of building a nurturing class community.
