This hands on workshop will leave the educators feeling inspired to empower the children in their care by supporting the children’s natural ability to be creative, industrious and resilient.
School aged children have the capability to be leaders in their community. Let’s assist them in this belief!!!
Topics to be discussed will include:
* Understanding the way school age children think
* Programming with input from the school age child
* Choices / Freedoms that we can give the children in our programs
* What does it look like when we allow children to be industrious?

Paula Milbradt
Presenter Information
Paula Milbradt is the founder of Empowermil and is both an educational and parent consultant. She is very passionate about serving children, family, community and professionals by offering workshops that highlight social emotional brain development. After fostering 4 boys aged 9 - 12, being a school age supervisor and offering care to children of all ages, she began her journey as a facilitator of workshops and adult learning. She has spoken at various conferences, school boards, community resource centres, Children: the Heart of the Matter and most recently has worked supporting a local college with curriculum development. She believes not only does it take a village to raise a child, but it takes children to fill the village with innovation and creativity.
