WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: This is a 2 hour Health Canada workshop that covers how chemicals in the environment affect health, safety with household chemicals, radon testing, air quality, gardening and outdoor tips, food & safe food handing, drinking water, extreme heat and safety with consumer products. Beyond this, we will have resources to show and hand out.
BIO: Agnes Pisarski- Risk Communication and Public Involvement Officer, Health Canada, BC Region Agnes delivers chemical awareness workshops for families with children, Early Childhood Educators, daycare staff, seniors, and new immigrants. She also raises awareness on how to create a healthier home at various tradeshows and events.
Meghan Roushorne– Air Quality and Health Specialist, Health Canada, BC Region Meghan provides education and advice on issues related to air quality and health. She also enjoys connecting with people through workshops and other outreach opportunities
