Birth to the age of 5 years is a time of rapid growth in children. Patterns and behaviours develop that will last into adulthood, directly affecting lifelong health and resilience.Healthy eating and physical activity are two behaviours that are so important for healthy child development.
Join us for an Appetite to Play workshop for early childhood providers will enhance knowledge, skills and confidence in creating childcare settings that support healthy eating, physical activity, food and physical literacy to promote healthy child development.
During this workshop planning tools, tips and ideas, recipes, games and activities will be shared and practiced. Participants will receive a booklet to help them get started and an overview of the Appetite to Play resources we offer on our website. Workshop Information:
5:15pm: Light meal/snack will be served and register for the University of Victoria evaluation (optional)
5:45pm: Workshop will begin.
