Have you ever wondered what exactly ECEBC can offer you as an Individual? Come out and meet Shawn Nygren, the
Membership Outreach and Engagement Coordinator for the Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia, and discover what kinds of supports are offered by this organization.
Discuss how the Early Childhood field is in crisis in BC, how many Early Childhood Educators are leaving the field and how it is difficult to recruit new people. Research shows and your voices Have told them that this is occurring because of wages/benefits that are too low to make a fair wage commensurate with your education and level of responsibility. Based on the Sector Survey carried out in 2016, the Early Childhood Educators of BC have developed recommendations for fair compensation in the form of the $25 an Hour Campaign. Discover what this could mean for you.
The Early Childhood Educators of BC envisions a society where early childhood educators thrive in a supportive community that values childhood and education.
ECEBC represents the early childhood care and education profession throughout the province. We provide professional development opportunities, training, and resources for early childhood educators across the province. We support early childhood educators to inform the broader community about their work. We are dedicated to building respect for early childhood education and educators.
We provide quality services and apply best practice to support people in accomplishing their goals.
