Come and learn about the philosophy and practice of Forest & Nature Schools in Canada. We’ll discuss outdoor activities, risk-management, and how to be prepared and comfortable in all weather. We will also explore some hands-on skills to deepen our practice and discuss shelter building, knot tying/rope-play, common local plants (edible and non-edible) and oral storytelling.

Presenter Information
Cara Agro is the lead facilitator of both Fresh Air Learning and Out and About Adventures. She feels fortunate to be able to spend most of her time engaged in open ended, child-led, place-based play with children, both in Pacific Spirit Park and Trout Lake. Cara has completed her ECE at VCC and holds a B.A. in English and Cultural Studies.
