Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) is a set of questionnaires that provide a quick check on children’s development in the areas of communication, physical ability, social skills, and problem solving skills. The questionnaires are completed by parents and can help identify a child’s strengths as well as any areas where support may be needed. The completed questionnaire is returned for review by ASQ trained personnel who are able to interpret and share the results with the parent(s), as well as determine if follow up is needed. Why check on a child’s development? Because the first 6 years are critical to a healthy mind and body for life. Checking on young children’s development helps to:
- Make sure children are growing and learning well
- Identify strengths as well as areas that may need practice
- Prepare children to be ready to learn in kindergarten
- Make sure children are off to the best possible start
This one-day session will cover implementing, scoring, interpreting results and discussing those results with parents for both the ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE2 (Social Emotional).
Pre-registration is required. Please bring your own bagged lunch.
