This is an informative workshop on breaking art mediums down to the basics and then looking at extensions based on children’s interests and the project work at hand. We will cover a variety of mediums, how to present them to a young audience and ways to scaffold their learning and skill building capabilities.

Presenter Information
Kirsti has a background in Fine Arts, is trained in Responsive Curriculum and has been Reggio inspired since 1999, upon graduation of ECE Kirsti worked directly with children on the floor in Reggio inspired centres. Consistently seeking more growth and development this eventually led to holding such positions as: the Director of a Not-for-Profit preschool in Kerrisdale, an Outreach Consultant with the Child Care Resource and Referral, a Coordinator in a multi age child care centre with Alexandra Neighbourhood House at Kensington Prairie Community Centre, working with Refugee families in the First Steps program as a 0-6 liaison to City of Surrey services and having the position of ECE Facilitator with the City of Surrey preschool programs.
